Artist Showcase | Fops

Dee Kessler was (and maybe still is) the driving force behind Thee More Shallows, one of the more under-appreciated bands of the past few years. Fops is his new side project where the self-proclaimed goal was to meld German kraut influences like Kraftwerk and Cluster with more contemporary pop sounds from the 80's.

Their latest album, Yeth Yeth Yeth came out a few weeks ago and apparently they had some much material they recorded a second album to come out in the earlier part of 2011. "Yellow Jacket Corpse" is the first single off the LP and the video is pretty interesting to say the least.

And if you liked that one, take a gander at another single-laden track off Yeth Yeth Yeth, "Black Boar". If you ask me, it has the light-hearted musicality of Sumday-esque Grandaddy.
